Lynette Williams is living her dream as a Hollywood make-up artist, but the Christmas shows she works on pull at her heart, reminding her of Christmases in her hometown of Holly. When her Christmas dream home goes on the market, she decides to move back to Holly to purchase the house and open her own salon. Upon viewing the property with her realtor, she runs into newcomer, Dylan Vanberg, who is determined to buy the home.
During their interaction, Lynette reveals the home's special ‘Dream Door’ that convinced her the house was a fulfillment of her dream. Dylan and Lynette explore the Dream Door where they discover love letters from the 1940’s. The discovery further fuels their desire to buy the house. A heated bidding war ensues, but the mysterious owner has an idea to determine who the buyer should be. The journey launches Dylan and Lynette into discovering a series of clues that lead them to a place they never could have imagined.
