Sinopse
In the last 30-plus years, gay men and women in Indiana have been raped, beaten, and murdered. Last year in Indiana, a Catholic Priest was attacked and beaten while praying in a church. A Jewish synagogue was vandalized with anti-Semitic graffiti, and another church was plastered with racist and homophobic banners.
Apparently, hatred and loathing for those who don't live up to other folks' idea of what's “normal” and what's not knows no bounds.
Murder suspect Steven Leyendecker was the poster boy for a good profile makeup. Some of the common traits and characteristics your “average” serial killers tend to share are, but are not limited to, the following:
- A history of parental abuse or neglect, leading to an unhappy childhood.
- A history of psychological problems, which may include confusion over one's own sexuality.
- A history of alcohol abuse.
- A history of physical violence.
As far as I can tell, Steven Leyendecker exhibited ALL of the traits listed above. Yet, he is a free man. Was he a "homosexual serial killer"? We may never know....
