The story revolves around Phileas Fogg, a wealthy English gentleman who lives a meticulously ordered life in London. Despite his wealth, Fogg is solitary and mysterious, adhering to precise routines and mathematical precision. His life takes an unexpected turn when he accepts a wager from his fellow club members at the Reform Club: £20,000 (equivalent to £1.9 million in 2019) that he can circumnavigate the globe in 80 days.
