She performs the stories at a leisurely pace so that young listeners can follow along, and older ones can relish the wonderful quirkiness of each piece. And Daniell very convincingly manifests an assortment of quaint characters, many of whom have thick colloquial accents. Her flexible voice slips back and forth between dialogue and narrative with ease.
