Sobre este título

Tommy hears dead people. Okay, one dead person. His best friend, Chase. Since his death, Tommy can't stop hearing his voice. They talk every day and Tommy even sends him texts, but it always ends the same. Message failed to send. Until one day, a stranger texts back.

Getting stuck in nowhere Georgia was not on Nick's summer agenda, but a horoscope, a chance encounter, and a cute boy has things looking up. There's just one problem, the boy hates him. When a broken phone leaves him with a new number, Nick is ready to write off the entire summer as a loss. But then he receives a strange text.

When Tommy and Nick's worlds collide, the attraction is instant, but Tommy just can't let Chase go. Can Nick use his status as Tommy's anonymous stranger to break down his defenses or is Nick destined to live in a love triangle with a ghost?

it started as a depression show, both protagonists had a whole lot of package to unpack. i understand how hard can it be to describe the feeling of grief and loss to outsiders, Tommy really does match the sensations. the pain he felt was palpable, Nick kinda lacked in showing his pressure through most of it tho. i loved the way everything progressed and its ending its really cute, even though i don't like the fact that it was kinda rushed at the end.

i mean, one minute their "ill talk to ur father tonight", and in the other their already planning their lifes like 6 moths later, i like the outcome of the epilogue, but it felt like the exposure of the end was really lacking. besides, most of the second characters barelly have any weight to the story.
i don't really care cause i have memory issues and can't even remember the name of 1 second character, but the story itself could have almost the same plot without like 80% of the other characters, trully forgettable

not my BEEEEST read, but im sure its on the top places of the list

80/100
