Sobre este título

Brooke Kent hasn't spoken to a single member of her family in thirteen years.

That's all changed when her younger brother calls her to invite her to his wedding. He tells her to bring her girlfriend, partner, spouse, or the woman she hooks up with on Tuesdays; he doesn't care who, just wants her there. Brooke would be tempted to take him up on that, only she's painfully single.

When she tells her two best friends about her dilemma, they suggest that Brooke invite Anna Fourchette, the woman Brooke has been pining over for almost a year. To Brooke's surprise, Anna agrees. Can Brooke really handle a week in London dealing with her estranged family? And more importantly, can she pretend to date the woman of her dreams without falling in love for real along the way?

I Really Do is an absolutely delightful story, and listening to it narrated by Quinn Riley made the experience even better. Her voice, paired with that charming British accent that flows so naturally through the story, adds a warmth and authenticity that perfectly match the tone of the book.

I’m usually not the type to get completely drawn into stories that don’t rely heavily on banter between the main characters, but this one was different. Watching these two come together felt genuine and heartfelt, and I found myself completely invested in their connection. The chemistry was subtle yet powerful, and it unfolded in such a satisfying way that I didn’t want the story to end.

Brooke’s character development was another highlight for me. The way she navigated her relationship with her mother was written with so much care and emotion—it felt honest and real, and it quickly became one of my favorite parts of the book. Emily K. Hardy did a wonderful job balancing emotional depth with lighthearted moments, making the story both touching and uplifting.

I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for more of her books, especially if Quinn Riley is narrating them again. This was one of those stories that stays with you long after you finish listening.

A Truly Delightful Read
