I'm John MacCalman, the author and the narrator of this, my autobiography. I had 35 years of fun in broadcasting in the pioneering days of commercial radio in the UK back in 1973. Since that time, I've travelled the world over in search of the ultimate high with millions of miles in the sky.
I had an amazingly career covering award-winning broadcasting in those pioneering creative days of Radio Clyde, the music business - publishing and management, festival organizing, travel journalism, running a website for a Thai rock band, and then a worldwide travel consultancy with a passion for the USA, Australia, and New Zealand.
With a charming, friendly, yet “quirky” sense of humor, I reckon I'm intriguing to all those I meet. In this autobiography, I share my fascination for flying, my love of airline food, my many trips to exotic locations, and why keeping my feet off the ground is what makes me truly happy.
