Luella Murphy and her parents set out to start a new life in the gold rush town of Sacramento, California that was until Luella’s parents passed away on board the ship. The handsome, mysterious Elijah comes around and adores Lilly; however, he has a secret, and he hopes she does not judge him too harshly. Along the way comes Billy a young orphan with his loyal hound Copper and he adds a whole new dimension to the fold. Lilly faces kidnapping, murder, saloon girl hardships of abuse, and more.
