Sobre este título
New cover, same Blaine!
The closer he gets to the truth, the more dangerous it becomes.
Detective Nick Blaine has spent years putting back the pieces of his life following a crushing tragedy. Yet, the cruel streets of 1980s Los Angeles are a constant reminder that in the game of life there are rarely winners.
Ainsley Brown was young and beautiful, and everyone adored him. Everyone that is except the one person who wanted him dead. Yet, Ainsley's wouldn't be the only body to cross paths with Nick Blaine and his partner, Detective Phillips. But before they can catch a killer Blaine and Phillips will find themselves going from the streets of Los Angeles to Louisiana's idyllic countryside and back again. For Blaine he needs more than justice for Ainsley, he needs to stop a monster before he can kill again. With every step Blaine and Phillips, find themselves falling deeper in a cesspool of murder, drugs, and sex.
Will they be able to stay afloat?

"The book is great and definitely suspenseful... You did very well with characterization and giving every character their own background, stories, and various different perspectives on the story. It made the reader feel truly involved in the investigation and feel the thrill of it all. Additionally, it was nice how each chapter seemed to be focused on another lead, and a meeting with them. I also liked how some chapters focused on things from Rodney’s perspective, such as the chapter that took us back and showed us how Rodney planned and executed the robbery with Leroy Smith. Great job overall!" - Judge, 33rd Annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards
