The first of these thinkers is Thomas Aquinas, a catholic man of the clergy who had refreshing new concepts to propose about God, life, and the afterlife. The Marian prayer, the natural law, and some of his inspiring quotes and sayings will be included here. 

Following this religious man is the famous David Hume, a Scottish historian and thinker who was a firm advocate of skepticism, naturalism, and empiricism. Another religious man with political views is Desiderius Erasmus, a philosophers and scholar from the Netherlands, who was born during the Renaissance and stood for the right to education, humanistic views, and Protestantism. 

Last but not least, we’ll discuss Baruch Spinoza’s ideas, who combined stoicism, rationalism, and naturalistic views about God in extreme ways. His ethics have been questioned and defended by many philosophers.
