This story, like so many stories, came out of such a telling. My eldest son had once taken something that wasn’t his. He was small enough to understand the implications of his choices. The “fibbing” that followed didn’t seem to have any impact, so I made up a quick story about Caroline, and a ribbon that grew like...well, you’ll see.
This is a brief parable about lies and how they grow until you can learn to be accountable, do the right thing, and maybe even reap some of the benefits of telling the truth.
