Sobre este título

Forced to wed: A grieving mafia princess trapped in a deadly alliance…with the one man she swore she could never have.

She's my best friend's daughter.

Barely twenty-two.

Sacred. Forbidden. Mine.

She never dreamed she'd wear my ring, share my name, warm my bed. But with her father's blood still fresh on the streets and vultures circling, I'm the devil she knows.

What began as duty ignites into an obsession I can't control.

Because when I look at Bella now, I don't see Giovanni's innocent little girl. I see the woman who could bring me to my knees.

As she claws her way to power at my side, I'm losing the battle to resist her. The walls I built from my first wife's betrayal are falling, and the secrets in my past could get us both killed.

With my baby growing inside her, and my brother plotting our destruction, I'll paint this city red. Because I'll slaughter anyone who tries to take what's mine

"You were never just a duty, Bella. You were always meant to be my salvation."

First’s thing: I swear, if we remove the amount of times the autor says the same thing 3x in two paragraphs (most of all “artist’s hands/eyes”) and along the book, we would’ve remove 100 pages - it’s exhausting and doesn’t add ANYTHING to the book or context, girl, we got it the first time you said it! Find synonyms or something.

Adding to that, this book it’s just badly written, seams like the author had a few ideas and tried to put everything in the book even if it didn’t work out well: it has like 3 moments where everything locks in to place and feels like the end, then the author throws a new thing/plot that haven’t been mentioned or hinted ONCE before and the story starts again - for example the brother that came out of NOWHERE. If the things were part of the story, could make sense and evolve, but in this way just feels like Netflix tactics to not end a series that needed to end 3 seasons ago.

There’s an insta-love and “everything it’s possible with love” attitude that just gritted against my nerves, because it doesn’t make sense with the scenario they are in (SPOILER ALERT), for instance: let’s just leave the man who ALREADY tried to overthrow you as the head of the family, kidnapped your child and tried to killed you go free with a pat in the back ‘cause “we can conquer everything together” — I mean, common!!! I’m not gonna even start with that friend that COULDN’T give more hints of the betrayal that she’s organizing if she tried and they just “oh, well, let’s deal with this when it happens “.

This “dom” it’s just plain dumb more than half the time.

Girl - we got it the first time
