This shortage has created a never-seen-before disruption in the global supply chain. When I began, I doubted whether the market could support a small operation like mine. While I had been an owner-operator and knew the driving portion of the business like the back of my hand, I had less experience operating a larger business. Many owner-operators continue driving while they add on employees. I did not. I wanted to focus completely on the business side, and I worked hard to ensure that my investment paid off.
