The Battle of Life concerns the romantic heartbreaks of two sisters in an English village, but ends happily with a final surprise. And in The Haunted Man, a chemistry teacher meets a ghost who promises to rid him of all his unhappy memories. He takes up the offer without understanding the consequences.
