This book isn’t meant to be just listened to— it’s meant to be experienced.

Through My Eyes is a deeply personal invitation into the Gospel of Matthew, told in the voice of someone who walked with Jesus, wept with Him, witnessed His miracles, wrestled with His words, and ultimately surrendered to His love. It’s not a theological textbook or a religious commentary — it’s a heart cry. A spiritual lens. A journey of intimacy, revelation, and transformation.

When I first began this project, I didn’t want to simply retell the story of Jesus. I wanted to step into it. To feel the dust of the roads beneath His feet. To hear the tension in the crowd when He spoke truth that cut through hypocrisy. To watch the love in His eyes as He touched the leper, the outcast, the sinner. I wanted to look into the Gospel of Matthew — and see it through His eyes, and also through mine.

In doing so, I found that this gospel didn’t just tell me who Jesus is. It told me who I am.

In this book, you’ll find the Gospel of Matthew written in first person, as if you’re hearing it from someone walking the road beside Christ — perhaps Matthew himself, or someone like me… or maybe even someone like you. Each chapter is followed by a devotional that reflects on the deeper meaning behind Jesus’ words and actions, and how they still speak powerfully to our lives today.

This book is for the wounded who long to be healed.

For the doubter who wants to believe again.

For the wanderer who’s looking for home.

For the disciple who’s ready to pick up their cross and follow Jesus — all the way.

So I invite you:

Open your eyes. Open your heart.

Listen closely. Pray deeply.

Let this gospel become your gospel — not just a story you listen to, but a truth you live.

And may every minute draw you closer to the One who still says, “Come, follow Me.”
