Sobre este título
The term "dark triad" in psychology refers to the three characteristics of psychopathy, Machiavellian conduct, and narcissism. Dark psychology, however, contends that these characteristics may lead to both constructive and destructive behavior. These traits are referred to together because, while distinct, they often overlap among others who possess them. For example, narcissistic features might be present in a psychopath. However, Machiavellian conduct may also indicate narcissism. Consider the dark triad as a three-part Venn diagram that overlaps.
If a person has more of the dark triad, they are more dangerous and difficult to identify. Individuals with dark triad personalities are more inclined to commit crimes, incite political instability, and purposefully create disruption in society. Additionally, charismatic people are more likely to be Machiavellians, narcissists, and psychopaths, increasing their chances of occupying leadership roles in social hierarchies, political organizations, or suspected criminal rings. Dark psychology is not a singular, all-inclusive medical diagnosis that can account for every example of aberrant conduct.
