Who are the “we the people” mentioned in the preamble to the U.S. Constitution? They are our neighbors next door, down the street, or across the country. They live in different places, worship in different ways, and come from different backgrounds and histories. They struggle, achieve, and overcome. They are you, and me, and us.
Because, as we strive to create a more perfect union, “we” should mean “all.”
