He owned exotic birds. But beneath the surface, Bill struggled. He had a spending problem. He had multiple affairs. He struggled with suicidal ideation. So, when he died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot, investigators didn’t immediately question his wife, Freda Susie Mowbray.
