Sobre este áudio
This short scene, right in the centre of the whole book, is a fulcrum of decisions that prove to have ramifications of the greatest import. Setting the main characters upon their catacysmic arcs to the Battle of the Pelennor Fields. Finally the vital link betwixt The Two Towers is made and a Palantir is discovered (or thrown) and it is via this psycho-visual link that we finally, briefly and once only, meet the greatest diabolical villain of all English literature, Sauron the Great. And the contrast with his interlocutor could not be greater, the youngest, by far, of the Fellowship, Pippin. But is Sauron really that great? The Atheist in Middle Earth examines him closely and finds in fact a stepping stone of philosophical thought to true evil and how to best counter and defeat it.
