    In the first Trials on the Road to ADCC 2026 we discussed the new generation punching their ticket at ADCC European Trials. We broke down the finals in Warsaw, Poland, discussing the grueling journey to the 2026 ADCC World Championships that officially began with the first European, Middle East & African Trials. We break down the possible new competitive meta, and discuss all the winners of the men's professional divisions, who have now secured their spots at the most prestigious tournament in grappling.     This week on the show, Maine and Corey recap Day 2 of the Craig Jones Invitational 2. We recap all the action from Day 2 of the biggest-paying event in grappling history.

    In the recap section we talk about the two paths to the finals.

    First, we break down the strategic decisions and matchs between New Wave and Atos. We talk about some of the match controversy and the 50,000 dollar submission bonus that seemed to work to create action.

    In the recap of B-Team vs Team Australasia we discuss the sheer dominance of Victor Hugo, who single-handedly pushed B-Team to the finals over Team Australasia with back-to-back submissions and $100,000 in bonus money.

    We also cover the women's $100,000 final, breaking down Helena Crevar's tactical decision making against Sarah Galvão that saw her secure the Aoki lock/ ankle lock finish to be crowned champion.

    In the finals Quintet break down we go into the controversial of the B-Team vs. New Wave final. We discuss the five consecutive draws that led to the draw and the 47-47 score as well as criteria for scoring 10-8 vs a 10-9 round. We then go into rule writing and interpretation that crowned B-Team the winners based on Nick Rodriguez's dominant final match.   • #406 CJI2 Quintet Preview Part 2: Teams B-Team, New Wave, Atos, Pedigo

    This week on the show, Maine and Miranda conclude the deep dive into the highly-anticipated men's Quintet bracket for Craig Jones Invitational 2. In the second and final part of our preview, we break down the remaining four super-teams and their wildcards, analyzing the strengths of each athlete, their best wins and accolades and why this is one of the biggest super tournaments ever put together for the $1 million prize.

    In the news section of the show we discuss the drop out of Gable Steveson in his match vs Craig Jones via turf toe and his recently scheduled MMD debut at LFA scheduled 12 days after CJI2. We talk about possible links between the two and the possible impact of this drop out at the event.

    Our breakdown kicks off with the New Wave Jiu-Jitsu squad coached by John Danaher. We look at their championship roster, which includes the phenomenal 19-year-old prodigy Dorian Olivarez, generational talent and 2024 ADCC World Champion Mica Galvão, the 4 time consecutive ADCC medalist and veteran Vagner Rocha. We also discuss two-time ADCC Champion Giancarlo Bodoni's move up to the -99 kg division and the team's anchor moving up to +99 Luke Griffith.

    Next, we analyze B-Team Jiu-Jitsu coached by Nicky Ryan.     This week on the show, Maine and Miranda deep dive into the first half of the highly-anticipated men's Quintet bracket for Craig Jones Invitational 2. We break down four of the eight teams during this weeks preview. With the other 4 teams scheduled for next weeks show. We analyze the records and accolades, the strengths and potential vulnerabilities of each athlete on each team, and the strategic paths to victory that each team might pursue.

    In our preview, we start with Team 10th Planet. We discuss the interesting team dynamic and how EBI pioneers like Geo Martinez and EBI 19 Champion Alan Sanchez, who are specialists in the submission-only format, will integrate with a newer CJI Quintet format. We talk about PJ Barch, the ADCC bronze medalist, whose formidable wrestling background and top pressure has proven to be an effective against the top level. PGF, EBI and CJJ champion Ryan Aitken with his blend of classic 10th Planet style with modern high-percentage techniques adding to the interesting and unpredictable team.

    Next, we turn to Team Australasia, a squad meticulously assembled by respected coach and strategist Lachlan Giles, known for his analytical approach to the sport. This international lineup features the dynamic wild card IBJJF World Champion Fabricio Andrey, whose explosive and agile style makes him a threat from any position and any weight class. He is joined by Japanese competitor Kenta Iwamoto, who brings a relentless pace and a strong wrestling base. We discussed Lucas Kanard submission win at the first CJI over Victor Hugo. As well as the Giles Trials winners team Declan Moody and Belal Etiabari rounding out the team with Declan being an ADCC trials winner.

    We also analyze Team Americas, an intriguing DMV heavy lineup featuring athletes with diverse training backgrounds and philosophies, making them a true wild card in the bracket. This team features Deandre and Gavin Corbe, who utilize a modern, conceptual approach to training that contrasts sharply with the styles of their teammates. We looked at Elijah Dorsey, who had a strong, breakout performance at the ADCC East Coast Trials against Nicky Ryan coach of the B-team at the event. The team also includes wildcard Taylor Pearman, who achieved a 100% submission rate at the ADCC European trials, and former US National Wrestling Champion Pat Downey, whose transition into submission grappling adds a variable to the heavyweight picture.

    Finally, we break down the balanced and formidable Team Europe. The team is spearheaded by 20-year-old Owen Jones, who had an impressive run to fourth place at the last ADCC by defeating several established veterans. He's supported by a lineup of seasoned talent, including three-time ADCC Trials winner and wildcard Paul Ardila, whose experience is a valuable asset, former IBJJF No-Gi World Champion Charles Negromonte, and Polish competitor Marcin Maciulewicz. This combination of youthful talent and veteran savvy makes them an opponent for any team in the bracket.

    We break down the field of four champions: reigning ADCC double-gold champion Adele Fornarino, ADCC -65kg champion Ana Carolina Vieira, teen phenom Helena Crevar, and newly-minted Atos black belt prodigy Sarah Galvão.

    In our preview, we analyze the complex stylistic matchup each competitor presents for the bracket.

    We look at the massive clash of philosophies, pitting the relentless pressure-passing of Atos teammates Vieira and Galvão against the hyper-aggressive submission hunting of Kingsway's Crevar and the creative leg lock attacks of Fornarino.
