  • EXTRA 92. Roots of WW2 in Europe
    Oct 18 2025

Key Battles of American History presents the unsettled state of Europe between 1918 and 1930 and the gradual fracturing of the uneasy peace that it enjoyed. The roots of the Second World War in Europe lie within the First World War. The 1919 Treaty of Versailles formally ended the war between Germany and the western Allies, but the geopolitical situation it created was far from stable. Ten years later, the Great Depression made things even worse.

  • ACAPELLA 9. Mozart’s Lacrimosa
    Oct 15 2025

Latin for "weeping” or “tearful", the Lacrimosa is part of the Catholic Requiem Mass. Many great composers have set the text as a discrete movement of the Requiem, including the prolific and influential composer of the Classical period, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-91). Born in Salzburg, Austria, Mozart composed his Requiem in 1791, during the last year of his short life.
