  • 71 - Ann Lowe, Wedding Dress Designer to the Kennedy's

    This episode is the final episode in Black Women Designers, highlighting Ann Lowe. Ann started design at age six and was making her own designs at age 10.


    Ann, like Elizabeth Keckley who kicked off the trio of episodes, designed for the US White House when her and hear team designed the wedding dress and 10/15 bridesmaids dresses for the Jacqueline Bouvier and John F. Kennedy wedding. Kennedy would become a US President.


    Ann and her team were not highlighted by the press or Jacqueline Bouvier for the work on the wedding. Ann deserves her flowers.
