After a bit of a hiatus we return with the follow up to November's theory-based episode on the quriltai. Episode 4.2 looks at the events of the quriltai of 1206 and investigates how Temujin, now Chinggis Khan, used it to reform nomad society as he went about creating a new steppe nation.

In this episode Jamugha, Altan and Kuchar try to surprise Ong Khan, but Ong Khan ends up surprising them. Then Ong Khan is surprised by Temujin whose network of allies ensure that he is surprised by no one.

The battle of Qalaqaljid Sands was bloody and exhausting, and an unprepared Temujin faced the prospect of further attacks from his enemies.
