S&P Futures are weakening this morning following Friday’s strong gains that were sparked by dovish comments from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell at the Jackson Hole event. Markets are pricing in a 25 basis point interest rate cut by the Federal Reserve in September 2025, with expectations for a similar 25 basis point cut in December. President Trump to meet with the President of South Korea today with trade agreement and regional security in focus. On Friday, President Trump said that he would be launching a major tariff investigation into furniture imports coming into the United States. Over the weekend he called on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to revoke the broadcast licenses of ABC and NBC, accusing them of biased coverage against him and labeling them as "fake news" networks.
