  • Tag Till We're Dead, season 5, episode 8 - Goldfish in a Bowl
    Mar 11 2026

    Welcome to Season 5, episode 8 of Tag Till We're Dead, the UK-based anthology horror podcast.

    Tonight's tale is an unusually beautiful tale of theatrical nostalgia, carnal happenings... and ghostly whisperings. It was submitted to us by the talented author Simon J. Ballard. It was a lovely challenge to read, and I do relish a challenge. The character of Julia was originally played by Judy Matheson in Pete Walker's THE FLESH AND BLOOD SHOW. And this story can also be found in the short story collection Edgelands of Fear, co-written with blu-ray music expert David Huckvale. available from Lulu.com

    * Trigger Warning: contains adult content and language! *

    Written by Simon J. Ballard

    Narrated by Karen Cave

    Theatre Effects by Once Upon a Whimsy (YouTube)

  • Zombie book update!
    Feb 23 2026

    'What Do Zombies Dream About?' (ebook version) is now available to download worldwide on Amazon.com. It's a riot! It has cool illustrations. Death. Black humour. Very human characters. And zombies. Soren Narnia wrote the foreword for it. Don't miss out:

    https://a.co/d/06FMPiFa

    Here's a synopsis:

    Caz is a 40-something woman who makes bad decisions.She carries a handgun and a wooden rolling pin. These, and her wits, are heronly defence against the sudden undead outbreak that hits the smallhousing estate she lives on.
    Where are her neighbours? Who is alive and who can be trusted?
    And what did happen to that posh golfing guy she dated briefly a fewmonths ago?
    What Do Zombies Dream About? is where gore, violence and black humour collide,in this fast-paced, chapter-based zombie survival romp Soren Narnia describesas "the Pringle can of zombie literature."
    Alan Birch's humorous, scrappy zombie illustrations bring each chapter to life.
    * Recommended for mature 15years+ and twisted adults - containsinappropriate humour, violence and bad language. Parental caution advised! *

  • Tag Till We're Dead, Season 5, Episode 7 - Dead and Wearing Green
    Feb 12 2026

    You have made it this far. Well done my fellow weirdos. You have joined a very special worldwide collective of horror fans. We hope you feel suitably welcome (and strange).

    Welcome to Season 5, episode 7 of Tag Till We're Dead, the now international anthology horror podcast. All stories written by Karen Cave unless stated otherwise (copyright)

    Tonight's tale is an award-winning story called DEAD AND WEARING GREEN. It was written as an entry for a Vocal writing challenge. It didn't win the challenge, but it was awarded a 'Top Story' badge!

    The premise of the challenge was to merge two genres that wouldn't normally fit. So I merged a 'zombie horror' with a 'romance.' Afterwards, I realised it would fit pretty well into the podcast too as a narrated story.

    I hope you enjoy.

    * As with all horror, viewer discretion is advised, as some content may be disturbing *

    Dec 24 2025

    Welcome to Season 5, episode 5 of Tag Till We're Dead, the now international anthology horror podcast. You have made it this far. Well done my fellow weirdos.

    Anthology is just a posh term for 'every story is completely different, with no common thread.'

    That may change though. Keep your ears open...

    This podcast is for you if:

    * You love horror

    * You get bored easily

    * You prefer short stories

    * Enjoy a variety of dark fiction

    Hosted by Karen Cave - all stories written by Karen unless otherwise stated.

    Tonight's tale is called DOUBLE FEATURE, taking place during and after the classic double showing of horror at a local, slightly decrepit cinema, on a British town centre street, on a dark rainy night,,,

    ** TRIGGER WARNINGS - swearing, peril, unsettling imagery **

    Written by Karen Cave

    Narrated by Phil Allman
