One morning, Lara Brennan (Elizabeth Banks) is a a working professional. The next, she’s in handcuffs and accused of murdering her boss after a heated argument. Witnesses place her at the scene, and her fingerprints are on the weapon. The case looks airtight. Her husband, John (Russell Crowe), refuses to accept it and for 3 years, fights to prove her innocence, but the evidence never budges. Nothing clears her name. And as the days turn into years, the separation from her son begins to break Lara down.

That’s when John makes a choice. If the system won’t set her free, he will. What follows is a desperate, methodical plan—researching every angle, studying every detail until he’s ready to do the unthinkable: break her out of prison.
