Sobre este título
The Ordinary Elite is a Scottish podcast brought to you from Glasgow by John McGovern and Mike Dailly. Both are Solicitor Advocates - John a criminal defence lawyer and Mike a civil litigation practitioner and social justice campaigner. In episode 3 of Season 5 we discuss the independent review of NHS Scotland written by consultant surgeon, Mr Mike McKirdy, former President of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. While we now have 20% more doctors and 15% more nurses in Scotland waiting lists and access times have become much longer. There are now 600,000 people in Scotland - 1 in 9 Scots - currently waiting to access some type treatment from NHS Scotland. It used to take NHS 24 9 seconds to answer a call in Scotland. It now takes 23 minutes on average. What needs to happen to get back on track for patients in Scotland?
