  • Behind the Scenes of Successful Affiliate Marketing

Have you ever wondered how successful course creators built their empires? It often comes down to strategic affiliate partnerships rather than just clever marketing or hefty ad budgets. Laura Sprinkle, founder of Rootabl and former affiliate manager for industry leaders like Amy Porterfield, emphasizes the importance of affiliate marketing. She explains that the visibility created by affiliates—what she calls the "omnipresence effect"—can generate momentum that traditional advertising struggles to match.

For smaller creators, the good news is that you don’t need a massive audience to see results from affiliate marketing. Laura shares her experience of turning a $15,000 launch into $60,000 by collaborating with just eight friends who believed in her product, leading to a tenfold increase in leads. Authentic human recommendations are becoming increasingly valuable in an era of rising distrust online; as Laura notes, "I don't know that I believe an ad, but I believe you."

Looking ahead, Laura forecasts a shift in affiliate marketing toward more specialized relationships, highlighting the roles of "keystone affiliates" and "pollinator affiliates." Whether you're just starting or aiming to scale, her advice is clear: build authentic connections and focus on mutual benefit. The future of digital marketing relies on these strategic human partnerships that enhance your message while fostering trust with your audience.

  • The Power of Showing Up: Mastering the Art of Solo Content Creation
    Jul 1 2025

Want to know how I've created over 1,500 podcast episodes since 2018? The secret lies in mastering solo content creation—a skill that's widely underestimated but extraordinarily powerful when done right.

From 2020 to 2023, I produced a daily five-minute podcast called The Potty Report, resulting in more than 900 episodes. This wasn't because I felt motivated every day—quite the opposite. Many mornings, I didn't want to record at all. Yet I committed to showing up consistently for my audience, who came to expect and value those daily doses of insight. Some listened the moment episodes dropped at midnight; others binged a week's worth every Friday. The consistency built trust that transcended any individual episode's content.

The foundation of successful solo content is learning to interview yourself effectively. This approach forces you to cut through the noise and deliver immediate value. When you understand your audience deeply, you can speak directly to their challenges and desires in a way that makes them feel seen. The most successful creators I've worked with—and I've collaborated with thousands—share this ability to make their audience think, "they get me, they see me, they understand what I'm struggling with." Even perceived mistakes become connection points, like when roosters crowed loudly in the background of my recordings at my parents' farm. What I considered embarrassing, my audience found endearing.

Starting your solo content journey doesn't need to be complicated. Begin by identifying your strategic content pillars—those non-negotiable elements you commit to delivering consistently. For my team, it's Tuesday podcasts, Thursday YouTube videos, and Friday newsletters. Everything else can flex, but these pillars remain steady. Want to learn the systems that have helped me stay consistent since 2018? Check out our brand new Consistent Creators Club, designed specifically to help you show up confidently and consistently in your content journey. Remember, we all have to start somewhere—what matters is that you keep showing up.

Hannah Soto shares a powerful truth that resonates with many creators and entrepreneurs: "The year I hit 2 million was the year I was the most miserable." This striking confession sets the tone for a meaningful discussion about prioritizing growth over comfort and living a purpose-driven life. After 12 successful years running a production company for Fortune 10 brands, Hannah realized that despite her financial success, something essential was missing.

Now, she's embarking on a transformative journey, selling her company, walking the 550-mile Camino Santiago pilgrimage with her husband, and exploring four different cities as potential new homes. This shift from keeping her personal Instagram private to embracing a public brand showcases her commitment to authenticity. Hannah emphasizes the importance of breaking free from fear-based decisions, encouraging creativity and exploration over perfection.

For anyone considering a career change, launching a creative project, or feeling stuck in their comfort zone, this conversation offers valuable insights and inspiration. Hannah advocates for making decisions rooted in curiosity and love rather than fear, introducing concepts like "emotional sobriety" and future-casting. Follow her journey on Instagram at Hello Hannah Soto and reflect on how your life might change if guided by love and curiosity.
