Movie adaptations of videogames have a fairly infamous reputation for being...well, let's be honest, terrible. But surely an entire genre can't be written off? Of the hundreds made so far, there must be a few good ones, right? There will be laughs, tears (mostly from Jamie) and nerdy details nobody could possibly care about!

Let us suffer through these terrible movies, so you don't have to!

  • A Minecraft Movie
    Aug 23 2025
Based on the blockbuster game, A Minecraft Movie was surprisingly a blockbuster hit at the cinemas, relying on the current mantra that all videogame movie should cast Jack Black and embracing the popular memes of the game to create a wave of box office success. Neither Jamie or Rory are Minecraft fans going into this viewing, so is the movie welcoming to new viewers or do you have to already be a fan of the game to appreciate its charms?
