The California-born, Nashville-based singer is reflective with regards to his influences — his grandparents, the Martin Luther King Jr. biopic ‘Selma,’ his French fiancée Devi, while also considering the effect of hookup culture and what you’re missing out on when the going gets tough.

Swerving from the retro 50/60s stylings of ‘Angel Face,’ Sanchez decamped to Sweden to work with the Max Martin crew resulting in a big pop record with a 70s bent.
