Esta edição traz uma antologia de hinos compilados de diversos livros funerários egípcios, o Livro do Mortos de sacerdotes, oficiais, cantores, dançarinas e outros que viveram e morreram há milênios, em uma sociedade extremamente religiosa. Além dos hinos originais, este livro contém uma introdução ao Livro dos Mortos escrita pelo prestigiado arqueólogo e egiptólogo inglês E. A. Wallis Budge.

Pretendo lançar luz sobre os principais acontecimentos, personalidades e processos desde a chegada dos primeiros colonos judeus à Palestina histórica até os nossos dias, a fim de explicar por que esse conflito se tornou tão difícil de gerenciar. Espero que as injustiças infligidas aos palestinos por mais de um século inspirem os leitores, onde quer que estejam, a se solidarizar com sua luta e a se posicionar contra sua opressão.
