Die Locke-Geschwister werden immer misstrauischer: Wer steckt hinter den sich häufenden Angriffen?

Noch immer hat keiner der Lockes den Dämon, der als Zack im Keyhouse ein- und ausgeht, enttarnt. Kinsey Locke hat sich sogar in den charmanten Zack verliebt. Die dunkle Kreatur nutzt jede Gelegenheit, um an die magischen Schlüssel zu kommen. Doch einer will verhindern, dass der Dämon in den Besitz weiterer Schlüssel kommt: Der Geist von Sam Lesser ist im Keyhouse gefangen und hat Rache geschworen. Der Mord an ihrem Mann hat Nina Locke völlig aus der Bahn geworfen. Sie ertränkt ihre Sorgen in Alkohol und lädt die Verantwortung auf den Schultern ihrer Kinder Tyler und Kinsey ab.
