Most Americans celebrate Halloween as entertainment. They go to haunted houses, put on by mortals to scare them, and trick or treat in their neighborhoods. They even have Halloween parties in their homes, but Count Drac Von Stoller's family celebrates Halloween like mortals do on Christmas day.

Business as usual down at Dracs funeral home - so they say. But there was one thing wrong with this picture: Dracs funeral home hasn't been in operation since old man Wethers' funeral home was shut down because a brand new funeral home was built across the street from Dracs....

One day some of Luther's friends dared him to dance on and desecrate a grave located deep in the woods near a stream by an abandoned house. Sarah used to take a short cut home after school through a railroad tunnel. Unfortunately, on October 31, 1902, Sarah never made it home. Her mangled body was discovered on the railroad tracks the next morning in the tunnel where she walked home from school every day.

This is one of those second-person point-of-view vignettes that many writers claim can't be done well. To top THAT off, it's in the present tense. Strike two, you groan! Go ahead, roll your eyes - but read it anyway. You just might enjoy it. If you don't tell, no one will ever know. *wink*
