When he digs too deep into a forbidden case, the system turns on him. Left for dead, he’s forcibly remade with black-market tech, rebuilt into something faster, colder, and infinitely more dangerous. But the upgrade did not kill his conscience.

Haunted by the violence he’s now capable of, and hunted by the forces that rewired him, Kris must choose between survival and rebellion. At the centre of the chaos: a girl marked as property, and an old resistance that may not want him either.
