Pride Summer Camp 2025

Gavin Johnson has been camping as long as he can remember. His family spent a few weeks every summer either on the coast of California or in the forests of the Sierra enjoying the simple life and getting closer to nature. Which is why when he had the opportunity to buy Camp Acorn where he’d worked in his twenties, he jumped at the chance.

Six years ago, the guy I thought I loved told all my friends that I liked to wear paws and a tail and crawl on the floor being a puppy. He turned my private play into a cruel joke, and I ran. Left my friends, my family, home, job, as well as my puppy-play group, and tried to let distance and time heal those wounds. Now, I've been given the chance to serve as the director of the new Mission City Pride Camp for teens. But my fresh start turns sour when someone starts leaving dog treats on my desk. Can I stand up to bullying this time and show these kids they have a right to be themselves?

Only one has ever held on to the hope of them reuniting, and with a few well times suggestions and a whole lot of luck, he’ll finally have them in the same place together after eight years. Eight long years of pining and wishing for a wand he could wave to put things back to the way they used to be. When the fireworks that burst forth at their reunion are sparked by a passionate kiss, he begins to hope that the three weeks that lay ahead of them at Pride Camp were going finally fix what was broken between them.
