The Hardy Boys Series

While riding in their homemade iceboat on the frozen surface of Barmet Bay, Frank and Joe Hardy and Chet Morton discuss their plans for the upcoming Christmas holiday break. They visit Cabin Island but a mysterious stranger chases them off the island. The boys are invited to the home of Elroy Jefferson, a man whose car they returned in The Shore Road Mystery. They overhear an argument between Jefferson, the owner of Cabin Island, and Hanleigh, who is trying to buy the island. Mr. Jefferson rewards the boys and grants them permission to use the cabin for Christmas

Frank and Joe are two teenage brothers who hope to follow in the footsteps of their father, a famous private detective. The Hardy Boys are joined by two friends, Chet and Biff, for a winter campout in a cabin on a remote island in Barmet Bay. But there seem to be others interested in the cabin, and a secret that it might hold. A sinister stranger orders them off the island, and when the boys don't comply, their food supplies are stolen.

Frank and Joe Hardy drive to see the new Bayport Airport. Before even getting there the boys are almost run over by an airplane flown by the airmail pilot Giles Ducroy. As a result of the event, Ducroy loses his job, blames the boys, and then frames them for a mail robbery. Although the boys don’t have an alibi they are bailed out of jail by Mr. Applegate (from The Tower Treasure) and Mr. Jefferson (from The Mystery of Cabin Island). The Hardy boys overhear Ducroy and two other criminals planning a major robbery.

Frank and Joe Hardy are excited to see the new mail planes landing near Bayport, until an out-of-control aircraft nearly crashes right on top of them! Their quick thinking saves their lives...but not the plane. And the angry airmail pilot, Giles Ducroy, blames the Hardy boys for his crash! Worse, the boys soon discover Ducroy has fallen in with two shady crooks, Ollie Jacobs and Newt Pipps, who are plotting something big. Their mysterious scheme might strike right at the heart of Bayport's booming airmail business.
