The Tardis materialises on the USS Eldridge after the Philadelphia Experiment has gone disastrously wrong. Most of the crew are dead, the ship is disintegrating and the Doctor soon realizes that the problem comes from another dimension.... As they attempt to find a way to get the ship home, the Doctor and Peri visit the distant planet Capron and meet its tyrannical ruler, Osloo. But the search for a possible solution only creates increasingly dire problems. Osloo's horizons have been widened - and space and time are hers for the taking....

This is a dynamic, modern dramatisation of a classic book by John Wyndham. Bill Nighy ( Love Actually and many other films) and Sarah Parish ( Cutting It) play Richard and Janet, a couple caught up in the goings-on of a sleepy English village in which all the children have golden eyes, blond hair, and a sinister talent for telepathy and telekinesis. (Wyndham's novel was filmed as Village of the Damned in 1960 and 1995.)

In it the time travellers arrive in Scotland in the aftermath of the battle of Culloden, meeting up with a band of fleeing Highlanders. Polly and the daughter of the group's Laird, whose battle injuries are being treated by the Doctor, go off to fetch water and return to find that the others have been captured by Redcoat troops. Can the Doctor save the day?

English explorer Travers is determined to track down the mythical Abominable Snowmen which are said to roam the Himalayas. When the Doctor and his companions visit the nearby Detsen monastery they discover that the Yeti are all-too prominent. In fact, they are out to kill anyone who comes near. With Travers' help the travellers discover that the monastery is in the grip of the evil Great Intelligence, a disembodied force which has taken control of the High Lama....

In their quest to gain control of the Solar System, the Daleks have taken posession of the Time Destructor, a weapon which threatens the safety of all who stand in their way. As they head up an alliance of alien races bent on destroying the human race, in their midst is none other than the treacherous Guardian of the Solar System, Mavic Chen.

Tom Baker stars as the fourth Doctor in this double-bill of adventures, in which he's ably assisted by Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah-Jane Smith.

The TARDIS lands on the seveneenth century Cornish coast, and its crew stumble upon a plot by the local Squire to receive and offload contraband goods. The Doctor meets the churchwarden, whose last words to him concern the whereabouts of hidden treasure. When pirate captain Samuel Pike learns of this, he kidnaps the Doctor and demands to be given the cryptic clue.

Following a spot of uncharacteristic intoxication, the Doctor wakes to discover that the TARDIS has materialised in the service ducting of the Vipod Mor, a huge craft which is itself floating in deep space. Furthermore, the console has detected Time spillage: someone or something is tampering with Time! Such experimentation could not only damage the Space/Time continuum but destroy the past and future history of the Universe. The Doctor and Peri board the craft to investigate.

The year is 2070, and Earth's weather is controlled by a device called the Gravitron, based on the Moon and manned by an international team of experts. The TARDIS arrives to find the base in the grip of a plague epidemic which is drastically reducing the personnel. Before long an even greater menace is proved to be responsible: an invasion force from the planet Mondas, home of the Cybermen.
