John is a down-on-his-luck 35-year-old who has been languishing from a series of injuries, coupled with the unrelenting demands of an ailing father. Not only is the situation threatening to derail his relationship with his longtime girlfriend, Maggie, but it is also erasing any trace of adventure this man once held. When an old riding buddy, Dan, learns that John still has one of his motorcycles, he tries to convince his friend to take an extended trip. Against his growing inertia and better judgment, John reluctantly agrees.

PTSD, as the name suggests, is a stress disorder that follows a traumatic event or period of time where an individual is gripped by such terror and feelings of helplessness that it actually changes how their nervous system operates moving forward. This insidious, and far too often life-threatening disorder can arise from the aforementioned cases of war or sexual abuse, but it also can be set in motion by any and all other forms of psychological trauma.
