Our God is not an unknowable God. In truth, we can relate to Him. We can experience a greater awareness of His knowledge of us, and we can transform our appreciation for Him into knowing and loving Him personally. We can feel His presence more abundantly, trust Him more completely, listen to Him more carefully, and serve Him more perfectly. The life of Jesus Christ can become a motivational force in our lives, thus strengthening our relationship with Him.

The challenges of the modern world make devoting our whole selves to following the Lord and His servants increasingly difficult. Too often we fail to examine the forces influencing our thoughts, so we confine ourselves to beliefs and positions that are contrary to the commandments of God. Advancing beyond the perimeter of our mental fences requires a new way of thinking and acting.
